Encounter the 3D Bible
Who doesn't like a good 3D movie? It's like you're an actual part of what's happening and find yourself even dodging flying objects! Right!?
This is exactly what this book is like - as if you were watching a 3D movie. But instead of a movie that isn't even real, the Bible is and this book will help you expand your knowledge and understanding of the Word of God that will give you more 'A-ha' moments as you dig in deeper. I love what the author said in this particular paragraph talking about the power of the Bible:
The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God." The Greek word for 'inspiration' literally means 'God-breathed.' This means the words within the pages of your Bible are alive, active, and powerful. When you read them, you are fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit and making yourself available for God to work in your heart, speak to you about your life, and give you direction.
This is what reading the Bible is all about and get this, when we make ourselves available to growing spiritually by immersing into His Word, this is what happens:
We WILL grow.
We WILL change.
We WILL be inspired.
We WILL become stronger in our faith.
I believe that we tend to lean more heavily on our human way of thinking too much in the daily way that we live which keeps God in a box which is the very reason we remain stuck in our limited ways of living and thinking. And then we wonder why we never grow. But when we have a greater understanding to the God of the Bible, as Dr. Michael talks about in Chapter 7, is what begins to change how we think, not only about God, but about who we are and who He created us to be. It reminds me of what Paul said in Romans 12:1-2:
'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
It's time we throw out our way of thinking who God is and get Him out of the box we place Him in every single day we live and start understanding who HE really is. It's exactly what will change our life from being stuck to living free!!
